Sex, Power and Speaking Truth: Anita Hill 20 Years Later was held Saturday, October 15, 2011 at Hunter College in New York City. This milestone conference brought together over 2,000 people from three generations to witness, respond and analyze present day realities in law, politics, the confluence of race, class and gender, the persistent questioning of women’s credibility, issues of black masculinity and current cases of sexual harassment. The conference featured a keynote session with Anita Hill, 20 of the nation’s leading feminist scholars, activists, legal experts and artists, highlights from First Run Feature’s film about Anita Hill’s testimony, ‘Sex and Justice.’ film about Anita Hill’s testimony, ‘Sex and Justice,’ and lunch-time discussions hosted by 11 of our over 70 co-sponsoring groups.
